Hi my name is Thom, I just got done skiing the Salomon XDR 78 ST. Again, this ski is geared towards your on trail skier somebody who is a little bit more casual. I wouldn’t hesitate to put an athletic beginner through a solid intermediate skier on this thing though. The tip shape is really cool, it definitely leans towards firm snow and carving and performance on edge. It is super easy to tilt up, really grip through the turn for a ski of this caliber. But with the shape it is more versatile than you would anticipate it to be. So if you want to start experiencing a little bit more of the mountain, start venturing into bumps, crud, a little bit of powder it is actually going to be surprisingly good at that. So again, that entry level to mid intermediate skier that is really looking to start exploring more of the mountain, this is a great way to start.
